    This is a special Experimental image for DM500hd with full USB support, new OE 1.6 and new kernel 2.6.18-7.1
    You know that DM500hd have not Usb.
    But Dream Elite team is proud to provide a little guide to enable USB on DM500HD boxes.

    This image is dedicated to DM500HD modded for USB to provide fully supported to Usb devices, wireless pens and Usb multiboot.
    A special version of MeoBoot dedicated to DM500HD with the new kernel and Usb devices is included in this image.

    This image is a final Black Hole serie, entirely rewrote and recoded to have maximum stability and performance.
    We remember that black hole serie images have the best epg system available:
    - Integrated Openepg for Sky-it Sky-uk Sky-Au
    - Latest CVS enigma2 Epg features
    - New external epg.dat system.
    Therefore, each board or community can create its favourite EPG data files, and upload it to a web space. Community members can then download it from that server.
    This feature offers additional benefits, such as:

    About MeoBoot


    What is MeoBoot:
    MeoBoot is very light Multiboot tool for Enigma 2 images.


    System requirements:
    This version of MeoBoot is exclusive for Dm500hd modded machine with Usb pen Drives.
    MeoBoot only accepts devices formatted in Linux ext filesystem and this to ensure the best performance in dreambox native environment.


    Operation:
    MeoBoot is very simple and intuitive. The plugin includes an Help button, explaining where to upload images before install and how to remove it. It also includes a feature to format the device where the MultiBoot will be used.


    To install MeoBoot into your dm500hd:
    1) Insert your USB stick in Dm500hd
    2) From your receiver go to the plugins list
    3) Green button for devices
    4) Red button format
    5) Red button to install it and after restarting the plugin


    To install an image in Multiboot with MeoBoot:
    1) Upload th image file xxxx.nfi in: /media/ meoboot/MbootUpload /
    9) Red button to install the image
    10) Wait a few minutes until the procedure will be complete and your Vu+ Duo will be autamatically reboot.


    WARNING: THIS IMAGE INCLUDE THE NEW KERNEL 2.6.18-7.1. FOR THIS REASON YOU HAVE TO INSTALL IN MULTIBOOT ONLY LATEST IMAGES BASED ON OE 1.6 WITH NEW KERNEL.

    This is because the migration to OE 1.6


    You have to use plugins for OE 1.6 that are different.

    Aktivierung des USB Anschluss auf DM500HD

    Auf dem DM500HD gibt es einen USB Anschluss, aber der USB Kontroller wurde deaktiviert, weil auf dem 5V Pin kein Überstromschutz vorhanden ist (z.B.: max1823 auf DM800) und die USB Spezifikationen nicht entspricht. Durch das entfernen von einem Widerstand oder zwei, kann man den fehlende Chip simulieren, aber im Fall eines Kurzschluss ist kein Schutz gegen die Zerstörung des 5V Mainboard Reglers vorhanden, und man kann sich leicht vorstellen was dann geschehen würde. Wenn die USB Spezifikationen einen Stromschutz vorsehen, muss es auch einen Grund haben.



    Das entfernen der Wiederstände bedeutet auch das erlöschen der GARANTIE und alles was ab diesem Zeitpunkt passiert geschieht AUF EIGENES RISIKO, niemand wird für Ihre Handlung Verantwortung tragen.



    Sie können hier den Standard PC-Motherboard USB Anschluss verbunden mit eine Standard PC USB Halterung sehen. Der untere rechter Pin ist in Wirklichkeit nicht angeschlossen, um die Füsse zu trennen müssen Sie ein Loch im Stecker des PC-Motherboard machen. Auf der Rückseite des Decoders ist ein vorgeschnittenes Fenster für eine USB-Buchse vorgesehen, sollten Sie eine saubere Arbeit durchführen wollen.



    In mein Decoder war nur ein R1001 mit einem NULL Ohm wiederstand vorhanden, sollte aber ein R1010 vorhanden sein oder beide, müssen Sie beide entfernen. Diese sind die FAULTA und FAULTB Signale die vom fehlender max1823 USB Spannung Überwachung Regler kommen, es ist genug dass einer vorhanden ist um dem Broadcom mitzuteilen die ganze Steuerung zu deaktivieren.



    Schaut man die USB Spezifikationen, das Gerät dass den Überstromschutz übernehmen soll ist der HUB, so anstatt ein USB Gerät direkt anzuschliessen, empfehle ich einen externen gespiesener HUB zu kaufen dass mit einem Überstromschutz ausgestattet ist, da der billige chinesische kein dedizierter Überstromschutz implementier hat. Ein bisschen Googlen, Genesys GL850 scheint ein guter Kandidat zu sein.


    Gleiches Problem, nach der Installation kein Einstelmenü.

    Gibt es eine Möglichkeit um die Taste für die Unterkanäle bei Sky umzustellen auf etwas anderes ?


    Ich finde es unpraktisch die grüne taste gedrückt zu halten, um auf die Unterkanäle zu gelangen.

    muss momentan auch umsteigen.
    Weiss jemand wo ich das Aufnahmeverzeichnis (Recording path) für Video und Timeshift ändern kann ?
    Das fehlt irgendwie in dem 500erHD Image.

    Ich komme mit der grünen Taste überhaupt nicht zu den Unterkanälen. Nach dem drücken der grünen Taste kommt das Fenster "Dream Elite Green Panel".
    Dieses Fenster wechselt sich ab mit dem Fenster " Fast Plugin not found. You have to setup Fast Plugin in Blue Panel Settings" Da kann ich solange drücken wie ich will. Nichts zu machen.
