Und warum wollt ihr immer das Instant extract verwenden (ich weis das es einfach ist, aber eigentlich ist es entstanden um auf den enigma1 boxen schnell ein image installieren zu können als es eben noch kein enigma1 Plugin dafür gab)

Testen tue ich es praktisch nicht mehr, insofern ist es eher glück wenn es noch funktioniert.

In der BA doku ist schön erklärt wie man ein image von /MB_Images installiert - und auch wie man den link auf USB stick oder CF Karte umlegt oder auf /media/ba (wo er sowieso defaultmässig landet wenn keine Harddisk drinnen ist)

habs nun endlich geschafft BA zu installieren.

Habe das aktuelle ooZooN im Flash meiner 8000er. Nun war es so, dass die Box beim booten immer den Bootmanager angezeigt hat. Bei einem Stromausfall soll die Box aber das zuletzt geladene Image wieder starten und nicht in dem Bootmanager verharren.
Deshalb wollte ich den Bootmanager dementsprechend einstellen, mit dem Ergebnis, dass meine Box nun nicht mehr vom Stick bootet. Habe wohl versehentlich den Bootmanager deaktiviert

Kann man das rückgängig machen, sprich den Bootmanager wieder aktivieren???

mit "ba.sh boot Flash now" wurde nur normal gebootet.

Habs dann mal mit "ba.sh enablebootmanager" probiert ....leider auch ohne erfolg

Hoffentlich hat gutemine noch nen Tipp

Normally BA Plugin should be available in very image. Are you really using the latest version of BA and old images (they don't support the delayed compilation of the BA Plugin which is now used to speed up enigma2 startup) ?

Partition 0 is actually the rest of the 8000's unused Flash memory. If you don't want that he suggsts it always simply do an echo dumm > /media/ba/ba/0/.bainfo

Then it will think there is already an image and not suggest it first.

We are currently testing if people like to put 2 Images in Flash (0 is 2x bigger then the standard flash image - because the 8k actually has lots of unsused flash)

If the people like it it will stay and be configurable to use it or not, if people dislike it it will be simply kicked out again.

wenn du es schon mit ba.sh enablebootmanager wieder aufgedreht hast kannst du nurmher auf /media/ba/.balog im logfile des bootmanagers nachsehen warum er nicht mehr startet.

Und die box startet bei jedem Reboot sowieso automatisch das zuletzt ausgewählte image und verharrt NICHT im bootmanager (der hat ein timeout von 12 sec dann bootet es automatisch weiter, und das timeout kann man sogar im BA Plugin auch bei den bootmanager einstellungen anpassen).

Wenn das image nicht mehr bootet und nur mehr Flash booten kann ist durch den stromausfall wohl das Filesystem des BA devices kaputt, dann bootet es evt wirklich gar nicht (egal ob mit oder ohne bootmanager).

Dannn liest du die BA Doku nochmals wie man einen Filesystemcheck des BA devices macht, bzw. wenn du WW Image Partitionen verwendest geht es im WW Plugin die jeweilige imagepartition zu überprüfen.

Sorry, I write it misunderstandingly - you should put IN the # so that the except handler is not available anymorei n the code - which means instead of simply not showing the plugin because it fails quietly when loading it it should should dump and give you an error message telling you why it fails.

Ich poste euch aber jetzt mal eine 5.0.24 von BA wo man erstmals provisorisch das 0 Flashimage auf der 8000er abdrehen kann indem man in telnet folgendes eingibt:

touch /media/ba/.banozero

Dann sollte es nach reboot weg sein.

Will man das image 0 im Flash der 8000er wiederhaben:

rm /media/ba/.banozero

Bitte testen und berichten ob das funktioniert , dann mach ich Euch das einstellbar übers BA Plugin
