ach, das war doch nur eine Kleinigkeit, aber ich hatte Spass Sie zu machen.
Wobei ich eigentlich gehofft hatte, das es bald auch schöne Mailclients geben würde wom na editieren und mit keyboard tippen kann.
Weil ich habe das derzeitige Plugin eigentlich eher als Technologiedemo gemacht und um die smtp/sendmail binaries zum laufen zu bringen
Und halt weil mich kleine Mails verschicken ala SMS von der box aus mehr gereizt hat als mails zu empfangen.
Und weil ich das dyndns account spar problem auch mal lösen wollte.

How can i set this up to add my ext.epg.dat file from the HDD as an attachment and automatically send it to a friend on a daily basis ?

I know there are alternatives that can get data from web source but really it is very poor compared to satellite.

the sendmail binary CAN attach files (call the binary in telnet and find out the option yourself) but I didn't implement it (yet) in the plugin.
And there is no plan to do so either - because if it is plain text (config, xml,...) you could send it as message body also and the plugin is just an example - I don't plan to write a full mail sending daemon - the main reason was to make the sendmail binaries available so that authors of mail reading plugins can use it also to send/reply.
But if you look at the send mail shellscript used for sending the IP adress of your box, this would be extendable in 2 min to include also an atachment - if you know the option of the binary to use attachments.

Bei mir auf der dm800 und gemini 5.0 funzt es leider nicht.
Kann mir da mal jemand helfen?Folgende Fehlermeldung erhalte ich:

hmm, das wird daran liegen, dass die libgnutls im 1.6er OE ne andere Version als im 1.5er OE hat.
weiß nicht, obs dir was bringt, aber du kannst mal probiern, diese datei hier zu installieren, wenns dann geht - ok, wenn nicht - muss ne 1.6er version des plugins gebaut werden

nein das geht auch nicht. dann müßte es neu für die 1.6er kompiliert werden. Hoffe das macht jemand..
