Client für Spotify auf Dreambox?

sowas würde ich mir auch wünschen, vielleicht macht sich ja mal einer die arbeit
daweil geh ich den umweg über airplay

Ich glaub das gröbere Problem ist das DRM von Adobe.

Da Spotify nun auch in Deutschland aktiv ist, wäre es vlt lohnenswert sich das Thema nochmal anzuschauen.

Wo sind denn die Addon-Profis?

EDIT: Außerdem glaube ich dass der Thread hier im falschen Forum ist. Kann den vlt ein Mod verschieben ins Addon-Anfrage Forum?

das müsste machbar sein.. die bieten eine api.. und für xbmc gibt es auch einen client in python.

Spotify auf der Dreambox wäre echt super, würde dem fleißigen Coder der dieses Addon schreibt sogar ein paar Euro zukommen lassen

Das könnte wieder so ein "F*CK YEAH" feature für die Dreambox bzw gemini werden. Spotify selbst wirbt auf seiner seite ja mit Sonos, WD TV Live, Squeezebox usw... da darf doch wohl die Dreambox nicht fehlen!

Ein Spotify-Addon wäre der absolute Hammer. Gibt's denn nichts Neues diesbezüglich?

Die anzahl der hits spricht zumindest für grosses interesse an der sache. Ist denn wirklich kein coder bereit sein kellerleben dasein für 2monate zu verlängern?

M.E. müsste man Spotify mit dem Server mopidy (http://www.mopidy.com) auf die Dreambox bringen können. Mopidy gibt's als Debian-Package, sollte sich also portieren lassen. Als Client kann dann ein beliebiger mpd-client wie MPoD für iOS verwendet werden.

Problem ist wohl ausschließlich die fehlende Unterstützung der MIPSEL Architektur der Spotify Libraries.

Die Plugin-Entwickler stehen jedenfalls bereit...

A lightweight wrapper around the Spotify metadata API.

This app handles both search and lookup endpoints. Right now, it's considered nearly feature complete, but will remain "beta" until tests are added.

Installation
For now, install this app via pip:

Usage
This app is very straight-forward to use. To get started, import and create an instance of the Spotify API:

from spotify_api.api import SpotifyApi

# create api instance
api = SpotifyApi()
From here, you can search for artists, albums, and tracks:

# search for artists
results = api.artists.search('drake')
for artist in results:
print artist.name

# search for albums
results = api.albums.search('take care')
for album in results:
print album

# search for tracks
results = api.tracks.search('lord knows')
for track in results:
print track
and you can look up metadata given a Spotify URI:
