Dm600pvr Enigma2 Pcd 7.0

    Good deductive work kalehrl :hurra: - and thanks for that again. I have now rescanned channels and loaded my own settings to the box, reloaded the rytec epg and it all looks very good.

    Thanks for a great image. I only have one question left: If you decide to stop providing this image, is there somebody that could carry on the good work? I would hate to loose this image. Is there a chance of making the build available?


    BTW, if you leave the copy, rather than move, in enigma2.sh, then the EPG gets recached if you reboot the box. With the move, you have to re-import and parse.

    If you (or anybody) can build an enigma1 image for the 600pvr, 500plus or 7020 - I will give all the items necessary to build this e2 image. In fact I will welcome it very much - as I am busy with some other stuff !

    I have the OpenPli build for dm600 enigma1 set up :winking_face: and could do this. Your help in the setup to build enigma2 for dm600 will be much appreciated. It would also allow me to look at the jpg stuff for my plugin.

    2 x DM7025SS (Gemini2v4.4), DM600(PCD 7.0), DM800S (Gemini 4.4) TM9100(UR9B2), DM500HD, Triax 88cm dish, Technomate motor.

    The openpli build may be ok. I of course use the dreambox build for this. Let me know when you want to start - I will give you the first step. Please start a new thread for this.


    Regarding jpg - download and install the plugin Webcamviewer . There you will see what I have done with jpg images. I used python-imaging to convert them to png images.

    You can run openpli enigma1 image within pcd's enigma2 image instead of CVS enigma1.
    You just have to change and add some libs and you will have the best of two worlds.
    I think I have somewhere the diff I made to disable time configuration in enigma1 to prevent messing up time in both e1 and e2 modes.

    Sadly my OpenPli build environment, for enigma1, no longer works. It has been a while since I did a build for the DM600 and in the meantime I have upgraded Ubuntu from 10.04 to 10.10, 11.04 and now 11.10. I tried setting up a new build, but it fails and looking around the web it seems it might be related to Ubuntu 11.10 and 3.0 kernel. So unfortunately I can do nothing until I manage to sort out the build environment.
    Maybe I should try and set up a standard Dreambox build. I have never done this, only used OpenPli. so some pointers on where to start would be appreciated. I found some links on the web, but they date back to 2008 and I would guess they no longer work. It looks like OpenPli no longer supports enigma1 builds (I could not find the makefile anywhere obvious).

    I also built openpli and plain CVS image for 500plus on ubuntu 9.04 but the situation is basically the same as yours. I switched to lubuntu 11.10 and didn't bother setting the build again. I saved the files though if I get round to it at some point. It is much easier to build openpli than a plain CVS image. The worst thing that can happen building openpli is missing packages because some sites are offline. With CVS, you need to delete non working differences and not use the date later than 20080825.
    Since they changed their site, I can no longer find the detailed instructions for building the image. If you plan on building the e2 image, you should build CVS image, not openpli.

    Bis jetzt läuft das Image wirklich gut ... hatte zwar ein paar Probleme
    nach dem "Umstieg" vom openPLI zum PCD aber nun klappts ...


    Aber ein kleines Problem habe ich noch ... mit dem PCD Image ist
    die Lautstärke total zurück gegangen ... wenn ich nun was hören
    möchte, muss ich die Dreambox bis fast zum Maximum audfrehen.
    Kann man das irgendwie oder irgendwo ändern ?


    Mit dem OpenPLI war das nicht so ... und ich kann mein TV-Gerät
    nicht viel lauter drehen, da sonst die Lautsprecher zu viel Rauschen.

    das Problem hab ich auch,und ich dachte schon dass das nur bei mir so ist.Also wenn es dafür eine Lösung geben sollte dann her damit.

    Ich habe ein 16:9 TV möchte aber das Sendungen die in 4:3 gesendet
    werden auch in 4:3 auf dem TV ausgegeben werden ...
    Aber irgendwie kann ich bei den A/V Einstellungen alles einstellen,
    aber immer werden die 4:3 gestreckt ... TV steh fest auf 16:9.

    The DM600 is now very silent ... i have to put the volume next to maximum.
    Can that be fixed by an update? Or can i edit it in the setting ?


    And when i watch a program in 4:3 the Image put this format to 16:9
    an i can't edit that ... what settings can i use ?
    I hava a 16:9 LCD TV but want to see 4:3 programs in 4:3 ...

    I didn't find building plain cvs to bad really, helps of course having good ihad users posting info :)
    Yes openpli site hard to find E1 info @ the mo, A to Z List I found some old info, does look like it will be a better wiki when finished though.

    Volume on the DM600 I have always found very low with any image. I just compared this image and Openpli and can hear no noticable difference using the RCA L/R Outs.


    4:3 in 16:9 have you tried changing the aspect settings on the TV, when my TV aspect is set to auto it can overide box settings.

    I did get my untouched E1 image installed via BA all seems ok :). I did have a small issue installing BA on v7, BA appeared to have froze and the box unresponsive, I was impatient the first time n pulled power which buggered the box and mean't a reflash, the second time a reboot via telnet n all was fine.

    @all hat mal jemand versucht die 600´er mit pcd 6 / 7 als partner einer 800´er / 500hd usw laufen zu lasen.


    zappen kann ich, aber der remoteview klappt nicht. remote timer funktioniert auch ...


    via webif kann nich auf die 600ér zugreifen und mit mit einem mediaplayer die streams anschauen ...

    To start the build - change the three dm600pvr lines in your dreambox-image.bb as in mine (attached). No need to change anything else in that file - for now.


    Then give the same make image command as for enigma1 (check Makefile name) :-


    make -f Makefile-opendreambox-1.5 image


    This will get the build started. When you have problem - I will give you the next items.
