Jtag a 7000

Wir haben aktuell ein Problem mit dem Board und arbeiten an der Lösung...
  • I am trying to Jtag a db7000, but i get this info when i try it:

    ***Cpu and JTAG communications check***
    ====>cpu seems to be ok
    ***Memory check***
    Flash Memoty ID`s do not match! (should be 0x89 and0x17)
    Are you sure this is a Dreambox DM7000S?

    What is this meen???

  • This means that your Flash ID is not the same as your JTAG-Program expects to find. This may be due to a change of the Memory used for production (for example they changed from Samsung Memory to AMD Memory)

  • The first thing to ask should be if your Box is exactly the one that you're trying to adress - as for example different hardware revisions have different devices built in (maybe because an older memory chip was changed to a newer one because the old one was out of production).

    If I've seen right in your profile, you have a 7025 - and this one is different to a 7000...

    Yes it is a 7000 i have try on, it say so on the plate to it.

  • I think the question is if you have changed the chip?

    If you have a Cas3 interface, you could try to repair the bootloader with it.
