    Please note :-


    This image is particularly suitable for installing in flash.
    If installing in flash - it is very important to use the feature "Increase available memory" soon after first bootup.


    High definition (HD) skins BrushedAlu-HD and dmm-HD have been modified for the non-HD boxes. These have been further modified for this image to hdd versions so that, when installed, they use only 1 kb of flash memory each.


    Special facility to copy media files (mpg, mp3, mpeg4, divx, dvd) from pc to dreambox hdd and play later directly from the hdd without pc.


    Note: When you remove (uninstall) a skin via Addon Manager - check that it is deleted from /usr/share/enigma2. Sometimes ipkg remove does not work completely !


    Extra Setup includes :-


    Readme (very important). All Readme files are in folder /etc. Please copy and translate (with google for example) if necessary.

    Software : Additinal software items necessary for plugins


    EPG : Two methods e2_loadepg and EPGUpdate/ViewEPG. Method e2_loadepg is described in the Readme. For the EPGUpdate method - configure source and update with plugin EPGUpdate. Once epg is updated - view with plugin ViewEPG.


    Subtitles : Change ttx subtitles size and colour


    Media/MountManager : Cifs and Nfs mount configure,

    Copy media to dreambox


    User-Script manager


    Inadyn, Pmt.tmp, Crond configure

    Infobar date language : Change date language


    Streaming media from pc to dreambox : vlcplayer, youtubeplayer etc.


    Streaming tv to pc : Install webinterface. On pc open webif browser.
    Click on tv icon. Select Open to start VLC.


    Configure VLC 0.8.6 :- Settings - Preferences - Iinterface-Main Interface - Select Advanced - Select HTTP and in HTTP Hostaddress insert :8080


    Settings - Preferences - Video - Select Fullscreen output


    Settings - Preferences - Stream output - Default stream output chain - insert #display :sout-all and select all boxes.

    Congratulations for your persistent to enigma2 in dm7020.
    It is very large and value.
    Wanded to ask you, why do not the work Drtic plugin?
    Is it possible to work sometime?

    Installed and after some testing:


    Streaming from DB to PC atleast starts VLC now. However, the second "parameter" often seem to be -1 in VLC (see -0x01 in example below)

    This means I never get a picture in VLC. The streamts process is active and VLC receives data however. Can't recall what sould be (VPID?). Also,shouldn't it be decimal values instead of hexidecimal?


    Don't know if it is related to the above problem, but after testing a while I have several streamts-processes running boggering the box down.


    This time I installed the image in flash with a new USB-stick and so far the performance is much better than my last try.


    A question (perhaps not related to this image): How do I get my USB-stick to be automounted after a reboot?


    Will test some more and report any other problems or workarounds.

    The source code for the plugin is not public. The plugin only contains the .pyc file in mipsel. We need powerpc ! :frowning_face:

    The method I gave only streams the channel currently playing on tv. To stream another channel - you need to zap to that channel first - with the webinterface.


    The pid data should look like - for example for Andalucia Tv on 30w :-

    Regarding usb automount - there is a hdd automount line in /etc/init.d/bootup. Please try a similar line for usb. Let us know if it works. I don't have usb on the 600 to test.

    OK, might have clicked in the list. When trying current channel VLC (v0.99) reads the data (Media Info shows the input updating all the time) but I never get any picture (nor decoded blocks for audio and video in media info). For ZDF (13e) I get:

    About USB: When I installed the image in flash I couldn't get enigma2 to start after a complete reboot after increasing memory to USB (restarting just Enigma2 worked). If I didn't increase memory to USB a complete reboot worked. I figured this was because USB wasn't mounted. I have now installed in flash instead so the USB mounting isn't a problem anymore.

    Yeah, I know many still use and recommend the old VLC but 0.99 has worked fine in Enigma1-releases. I'll see if I can test more later (and we'll see if other people get it work)


    I did increase mem to USB when I had your image installed in flash, problem was a complete reboot didn't work (hung at the Enigma2 is starting forver) after that for some reason. Not increasing memory worked fine (except for the space issues that were likely to come). After reinstalling and confirming this problem I installed other image in flash instead and your image is now on USB - haven't tried to increase mem yet.

    I am not on the dreambox. But if I remember correctly - the emu bin files go to /usr/bin/cam and the emu scripts are in /usr/script/cam. Just put in the correct emu names and they should wor.

    OK, some more streaming from DB->PC info.


    Downgraded VLC to 0.8.6 and first tried using an Enigma1 (PLi using streamts, not zapstream). Everything went well. Back to Enigma2 and it didn't work. There are some differences on what URLs VLC uses between the two images, most notably on ZDF below:

    Nope, I didn't... I saw this but thought it was only for streaming from PC->DB (which I never do).


    I can give it a try if you think it is of interest for you.

    I tested streaming ZDF - it worked ok.


    Yes, you need to do all the VLC settings. The second and third lines are for streaming tv to pc.

    you can't find the blue button->addons->manual install? or you can't find the file in the list?
    when you install it like pcd says did you give the files the 755 rights? start the emu via telnet, does it run? have you make the script to start the bin-file from /usr/bin/cam?

    you only forgot to set the epg-update to 10/15 min. Now every 60min. is looking for new epg-data (you remember the nova-problem:D).
