Dear Mamba
I would like to ask you to implement a timer for the plugin to go on and to go off (something like what yo did for the light in standby, but for when the receiver is on) as it is annoying to have to manually turn off the pluging during the day and turn it back on at night.
Thanks man
PS: apologies German speakers for hijacking your thread, i wish i could speak it.

hey carsten and Mamba
i agree with Mamba that our eyes are more sensitive for brightness changes than for mild color changes. especially that you can manually tweak and boost colors, but on the other hand i find that boosting brightness spoil the color spectrum and give unnatural colors.
carsten: Did you experience any lag in the response time of the LEDs? Did you use ready made adressable LED strips or DIY one? and what was the wattage of each LED?
i just came across lumix high power LEDs its 3w per LED (thats soooo bright ) using those could lower the number of micro-controllers in the strip. of course the cost will be against it.
could you post fotos or videos of the strip in action?

Hey Mamba,
haven't heard anything back from the samygo guys. But i read samsung are making contests to developers to develop apps (and plugins) that can work on their TVs. if you register at http://www.samsungdforum.com/ then you will be able to download the SDK and all documentation (device api and so on), they have alot of things you can check. so may be its a good idea to try and check if thats a good chance to develop such a plugin and may be win the contest . also may be later on samsung use it for producing their own samylight :).
one more thing, have you considered using an adressable LEDstrip rather multichannel thingy??, it will really be nicer as you can then adress individual LEDs rather than a whole channel.
if you won something don't forget me my friend LOL

thanks for the reply, i myself don't have that high knowledge, but i may try to contact the guys at samygo, may be somebody have this knowledge and is welling to help.

Hi mamba, sorry that i am writing in english, unfortunately i can not read German, but i using google translate :), anyways. I have LE40C750 TV (same as you apart from the size), i have samygo installed on it so i can play alittle bit with it and it gives you root access to the tv and so you can telnet to it and excute scripts and so on. The question here is, will it be possible to compile a package to be installed over there on the tv to make it control the atmolight (or karate and similar stuff), as if its possible it will be great and then we can use it directly with the tv (through one of the 2 usb ports on the TV) rather than control it from dreambox (or vu+duo in my case)??
