Dm600pvr Enigma2 Enigma1 Combined Image

Wir haben aktuell ein Problem mit dem Board und arbeiten an der Lösung...
  • Hi Friends,

The current powerpc enigma2 images do not have some features available in enigma1. For example mp3 playback, web-xtv, Partnerbox stream-out, ci modules (for dm7020) etc. I have therfore enhanced the Pcd 3.1 enigma2 image to include enigma1. Now the GUI can be changed quickly from enigma2 to enigma1 and return without reboot.
Hope you like using it ! :)

This image can be installed both in flash or with multiboot.

    ####################################
    VERY IMPORTANT
    ####################################

If installing in Flash - after the first bootup - select language and Exit Wizard. Do :-

Menu -> Extra Setup -> Increase Memory -> With hdd (or cf or usb)

After that there will be about 4 mb memory available.

    #####################################

The image will first boot into enigma2. To start enigma1 - select extension Start_Enigma1 (Blue button long press).

To return to enigma2 - select plugin Start_Enigma2 (Blue button).

    Enigma1 emulators :-

Not necessary. Install and start emulators in enigma2 as usual. They will then work in enigma1 also.

    Enigma1 plugins :-

Manually install enigma1 plugins (.so and .cfg) to /usr/lib/tuxbox/plugins.

    Enigma1 first start :-

Enigma1 first start is different from usual. After first input - it reboots. In next enigma1 start - press Exit or TV to proceed.

In enigma1 do not select Timezone. At the Timezone window - Press EXIT.

    Note : -

To keep the image size within limit - samba has been removed. If installing in multiboot - samba can be used (will be available from image server if required).

    Regards, pcd.

  • Wow!

This is excellent especially for people with 500+ who can't use hdd for multiboot. As I understand, there is some kind of internal multiboot in the image.

No need to reboot. Change GUI to go from enigma2 to enigma1and back. The enigma1 image is a basic image. Other enigma1 images will be possible if the method is popular. :)

    I will post the 500plus image soon ! :)

    Cheers, pcd.

    This would be great.
I prefer openpli enigma1 images which are open source so maybe you could use them instead of plain CVS e1 images.
I'm looking forward to testing your new image for 500+ :)

  • hallo

  • Sorry, in English ! :)

    In Enigma1 :

Menu -> Setup -> System settings -> Time settings

    In Enigma2 :

    Menu -> Setup -> System -> Timezone

    Cheers, pcd.

I tried - and it worked. It changed the time.

If your time (now showing) is correct time GMT now (for example) - choose a Timezone GMT+2hr. Does not matter if that is not your Timezone.

What did you exactly do ?

You need to restart dreambox (not just enigma) on a channel which broadcasts correct time both in enigma1 and enigma2 mode.

    Then it must work.

  • I trie
    - set correct timezone GMT and time on e1
    - restart dream

result: time ok on e1 and e2, but epg info time no correct on e1 and e2 (-2hr)

In the beginning, the time was correct and later it wasn't.
Now I've managed to correct the time but in the epg the time isn't correct:

    You can try this :

If the selected time in Timezone is GMT+1 (for example) - choose a Timezone GMT+3hr. Does not matter if that is not your Timezone.

    Restart (Reboot).

    Does it work ?

  • Not really.
I set the correct time in telnet but still the epg time is 2 hours late.
When I flick through channels, i see for a moment correct time in the now/next events but then they quickly change to 2 hours back.

Ok, I will look into it.

  • There is no such file in that directory.
    How can I create it?
Could you please post yours so that I can see the correct format?

  • Hi,

    Install the image from new.

When it boots into enigma2 - do the initial tasks and correct timezone.

    Do plugin Start_Enigma1.

    It will start enigma1.

    Select PAL
    Select Language
When you see Timezone selection PRESS EXIT !!!
    Do the rest.

    Hope it works ! :)

    Cheers, pcd.

  • It works now!!

I just skipped time zone setting in enigma1 mode as you advised.

When I switch back to enigma1, a window always pops out asking me if I want to set my time zone but I just press exit and all is well.

Thanks pcd. Now I can truly enjoy your best image so far. :)
