Hello
I have a problem with subtitles on Kodi, looks like gstreamer is not supporting it in a straight way. Using VideoPlayer, subs are working ok, but not with gstreamer. Are there any other videoPlayers with hardware acceleration and supporting subtitles for OE2.5 and DM920? Or how can we enable the subtitles on gstreamer?

Yep thanks emanuel, this urrlib2.py patch is working ok, thanks guys! Now I need to fix the subtitles in kodi, cannot turn it on, subtitles are downloaded but cannot see it during the movie.. any hints?

Hello,
Anyone knows how to change default PVR directory from /media/hdd/movie to anything else? I have 3TB drive formatted to ext4, connected via USB3.0 and I wanted to record and timeshift to one of its catalogs, and this works (I succesfully changed recording and timeshift path to /media/nas/DVR) but when I'm opening PVR player to watch recordings it checks always only /media/hdd/movie. How to change it?
I wanted to make symlink from /media/nas/dvr to /media/hdd/movie, but seems like there is some kind of automount option enabled for hdd (I have one /movie/hdd/ partition on this 3TB device which now I want to wipeout). Of course /etc/fstab entry for mounting /media/hdd is commented out. Any comments? appreciate, thanks,

I got a issue with tvheadend <--> kodi connection, I had setup the tvheadend, and added some initial FTA channels.After that, I have enabled pvr.hts addon and configured to the tvheadend data. Channels are visible under kodi on this same dreambox 920, but after zapping into one of them, no audio or video. It's weird as on different kodi instance (on macbook) or vlc, the channels are working fine. I have disabled enigma2 instance via systemctl, then executed tvheadend and kodi-standalone in console. Any ideas?

Hello,
I've got a little problem with shairplay. It works great with installed enigma2-plugin-extensions-shairportui and shairport-sync on enigma2, but kodi instance is not being recognized by iphone/mac - I see only DM920, not Kodi(Dm920) when switching to airplay on iOS, what am I missing??

So this would work with tvheadend then, enigma2 service disabled, tvheadend & kodi sevices enabled, then I'll have kodi mediacenter+dvb channels from tvheadend.. Ok I guess I have the basic knowledge now.

emanuel, so do You have 2GB of ram indicated for ex. in Kodi system info? Do You know about some instructions how to update bootloader/img? I was flashing it via web browser from OpenATV 6.1 to OE2.5.
About this refresh rate, this option doesn't work, but opening kodi via standalone version - there is an option to switch refresh rate to 50hz, then save it, and switch back to fullscreen version of kodi - it will be saved as 50Hz there then.
Is there an option to start the kodi as systemd service, in the way that enigma2 will be started correctly, and then systemd will start kodi automatically? I'm not interested to switch off enigma 2 service and enable kodi service, this way channels will definitely does not work.

How much ram should dm920 show with free -m command? I have 1GB of ram, and on dreambox.de there is info about 2GB of ram, I'm worried if this is not a clone of dm920...
One more thing, How can I force kodi to use 50Hz refresh rate? It is defaulting at 60Hz, and there's no switch to refresh rate, even if dreambox has set 50HZ, kodi will force it to 60Hz.

Weird, because on rasperry's Kodi the plugin doesn't need that to be enabled, but on Dreambox's Kodi pvr works only with this enabled. This runs smooth and clean, thanks so much! -

I've got a problem on a fresh OE2.5 with kodi 18RC4 on dm920 with pvr vuplus 3.15.4. Actually channel list is loaded via vuplus plugin, but when I'm trying to play any of the channels, kodi pretends that it is switching to the channel, but there's no screen,no sound, only timestamp of the video is running. From OSCAM I can see that video is being decrypted (All channels are played on Dreambox internal player). From the kodi.log I can see that there is some error with audio suspend:Quote20:26:16.111 T:3000553472 ERROR: CGstPlayer::CGstPlayer: AudioEngine did not suspend before launching GstPlayer
Maybe it is related with this issue.

Everything is working on my secondary kodi media device - raspberryPi 3 with kodi 18.1, streaming works perfectly from this dreambox 920.
