Can't install cam/plugin via Blue Panel

  • Hello,

I have a 7020 with GP 3.6 on USB... When I try to install a new emu or a plugin via blue panel, I get an error message. I get the same error message when I "ftp" the tar files to /tmp and try a manual install. I even "chmod 755" the files in /tmp, but no results.
Funny thing is it used to work (I install CCam 2.0 via the Blue Panel a few weeks ago) but not anymore. I got the same problem with earlier versions of GP (3.4 and 3.3): after a while, impossible to install anything via Blue Panel.

    Any suggestion?

    Thanks in advance,

    Vincent

  • This sounds like a network prob.
Does your box have connect to the internet?
So, check dhcp, connection to the router...

The download works (and I have the list of available emu to D/L), but the installation fails everytime. Ditto when I D/L to my PC --> ftp the tar.gz file to /tmp --> Blue Panel --> Manual Install --> select the file --> green button --> error...

I'll post the exact message this evening, but it's something very meaningful like "Installation failed" or "Can't install xxx"...

    Thanks !

This is 100% a multiboot issue.
If you would put your image in flash there wouldn't be any probs.

I've heard that renaming the extension with .sh seemed to work in similar cases, maybe that helps.
