    with barry allen 4.6.30 when i select the image to boot i see only the barry allen bootlogo,is this right?
    older versions of barry when i choose image then i see bootlogo from the image that the 800 booting.


    i have boxman on flash and gemini on usb

    I can confirm that instant extract works perfectly now except the lack in the bootmanager of saying CF is full or image 13 not allowed...

    Hi i try hier
    is it possibel to have BA on usb when i have a scvs dm8000 img in flash?
    In the informasions it says that i have to have a oozoon img in flash

    just the telnet should not cause a problem :)

    I put the barry allen file in tmp
    Telnet to dreambox got kontackt
    write in telnet ipkg install an so on
    the telnet secsion begins to scroll like it will be installed
    Restart the box
    BUT I DONT FIND ANY BARRT ALLEN INSIDE
    I dont know what i do wrong
    this should be easy

    There is a problem with the very latest 8k image and BA - so you have 3 choices:


    1) Use an elder image in flash
    2) hope that it gets fixed
    3) post or send via PM the output from (before the BA installation):


    ls -alh /dev/discs
    find /dev/scsi
    ipkg install /tmp/*.ipk
    init 4
    cd /ba
    ba.sh boot Flash
    sh -x /sbin/bainit

    i try to install BA 4.6.11 and i get the following error:


    Multiple packages (enigma2-plugin-extensions-barryallen and enigma2-plugin-esions-barryallen) providing same name marked HOLD or PREFER. Using latest.


    any ideas ?

    you have (accidentally) tried to install 2 differently versioned BA kits in /tmp with install *.ipk


    Now your ipk packages database is broken !


    This is not BA's fault.


    You can fix this by re-flashing your image in flash or if you are able to edit a file the go to /usr/lib/ipkg and edit the status file.


    Remove both barryallen entries in the file and then install only the latest kit (which is now 4.6.30)

    i removed both ba entries and now i can install ba again
    now i´m looking for ba 4.6.30 ( now i have 4.6.24 )
    do you have a link for the last version ?


    my next problem:
    Only Harddisk found installing there !


    why ?
    my usb stich is mounted and available

    It´s attached in the first post in this thread :winking_face:

    first use the latest kit from the first page of this topic - and if this still doesn't detect your USB stick come back.


    Newer images work only with BA >=4.6.25


    And don't forget the standard DMM image on the 8c doesn't have USB support in kernel so it will not work !

    The kit has to be at /tmp not at /media/usb - this is formatted during installation so the kit will get lost.


    The command is:


    cd /
    ipkg instal /tmp/*.ipk


    and NOT ipkg install /media/usb/*.ipk !!!

    Hallo gutemine,


    hab BA....30 installiert. Läuft alles gut. Was bedeutet das, wenn während der Inst. "no Toplevel .py found", only "Toplevel .pyc" von BA gemeldet wird? Danke im voraus für die Info!!

    das bedeutet genau das was der Rest der Warnmeldung besagt - das das WebIF vom BA sich in diesem image nicht reinpatchen kann da keine sourcen der Toplevel.py gefunden wurden.


    Sonst stört es aber nicht, de rest des plugins geht wie gewohnt und in den anderne image wird auch das WebIF vom BA funktionieren :)

    Bitte haltet mich nicht für verwirrt, aber ich habe echt ein Problem. Habe auf die Version ..30 ein Update gemacht.
    Nun kann ich im Bootmanager über die FB kein anderes Image auswählen. Die Fernbedienung geht tadellos. Halt nur nicht im Bootmenüe von BA.
    Hat jemand eine Idee?
