[Boblight SupportThread] Update: 11-02-2014, Boblight 0.8R6

    Hey,


    i need some help configuring my boblight.


    I've 50 WS2801 LEDs behind my TV. The boblight is connected to my raspberry pi with raspbmc on it. This part is working fine. When watching movies with the RPi the boblight works as expected.


    So here's my problem. I've a DM800se with newnigma2 on it and installed the boblight plugin. Now I want, that the picture is grabbed by the DM800se and send it over LAN to the RPi. Is that possible? And how i have to configure it.

    EDIT: I solved it. The problem was I wasn't able t configure the priority of the client in the boblight plugin. Also the configured port wasn't add to the /etc/enigma2/settings.


    In the boblight-control there was a part which grabs the priority from the /etc/enigma2/settings. So I added a fixed value at this point, but I also had to add this variable P1 to the CMD variable.

    hab mir an meinen 55"er 3,8m LED-Streifen mit WS2811 mit 60 LEDs/m angebracht. Die LEDs leuchten bereits und es läuft soweit recht stabil. (Hardware ist ein simplere AtMega8, der via FTDI die Daten von meiner DM8000 bekommt und ins Manchester/NRZ bringt und an die LEDs mit 800kBit/s sendet. [5€ Eigenentwicklung])


    Nun zu meinem Problemen:
    Unter "setscanRange" steht bei mir 720x64... Bei anderen Screenshots hier im Forum, steht meistens 80x64 oder ähnliches. Warum steht bei mir der 10-fache Wert?


    Dann, sendet die DM8k des öfteren an die 1. LED ein "rosa Signal", obwohl es eine andere (meist) helle Farbe sein sollte. Bei schwarzen/dunklen Bildern, erleuchtet die LED allerdings grün. Auch mit eingeschaltetem Debug, kann ich sehen, das die Farbinfo vom Grabber kommt und 1:1 auch an den µC gesendet wird. (Dieser stellt es natürlich auch so da!)


    Vielleicht kann mir jemand bei meinen Fragen behilflich sein.


    PS: bei 678 Channels, erreiche ich eine CPU-Last von 70-80% auf der DM8k. (Box sehr träge!) Hab erstmal je 4 WS2811er zusammen geschaltet, sodass ich 56 Module bilde. Die CPU-Last liegt bei SD bei ca.15%, bei HD bei ca.28%. (RPi in Vorbereitung!)

    besteht das dream8000er problem mit dem boblight auch oder funzt es damit ohne probleme?
    meinte die freezer die auftreten in verbindung mit karatelight -- oe2.0 -- dm8000??

    Ich habe immer mal wieder das Problem, dass BL einfriert. Dann hilft nichts mehr - kein Licht ausschalten, kein Restart, kein " killall boblightd" etc
    Irgendwann nach ca. 2 bis 30 Minuten geht´s dann wieder.
    Gibt es eine Möglichkeit / Befehl, das zu beschleunigen?

    Hast du geschaut, ob die Prozesse auch beendet werden, wenn du sie killst?


    Mit "ps" kannst du doch schauen, ob die Prozesse auch weg sind. Sonst mit kill -9 "pid", die Prozesse abbrechen.


    Es sind bis zu 4 Prozesse, die laufen.


    "boblightd" & "boblight-enigma2" abbrechen, wenn du den Dienst neu starten willst.


    Hast du das schon mit "/etc/init.d/boblight-control stop" & "/etc/init.d/boblight-control start" probiert?

    Aber es ist ja keine familientaugliche Lösung. Es müsste eine Möglichkeit geben, BL ohne Laptop wieder zum Laufen zu bringen (notfalls auch per Script, das man auf eine Taste legen kann).
    Habt Ihr diese Probleme denn nicht auch ab und zu?

    It works vergy good, but i got regulary led-flashes from time to time (not many). I changed all settings, but no help. Any Idea? Can you fix this?

    same here!


    have a dreambox 800se and a gigablue quad. After a unspecific time all the leds have a red color and don't work correctly any more. Only a restart helps. And there are many little flashes.


    would be very kind if you could fix this. :)

    you have some wrong lines in your boblight.conf !!


    - For Arduino you need to change your "ibelight" to "momo"


    - you need the prefix, (if you have the original ledstream file from adalight in your arduino)
    25 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 18 4D
    50 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 31 64
    75 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 4A 1F
    100 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 63 36
    125 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 7C 29
    150 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 95 C0
    175 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 AE FB
    200 LEDs: 41 64 61 00 C7 92


    As i can see at your "channels" of 375 you have 125 LED's, therefore the right line is:
    prefix 41 64 61 00 7C 29


    Do you have a good Power-Supply ?? With 125 LED's it needs about 10 Ampere !!

    are you sure device is on /dev/ttyACM0 ?


    do a ls /dev/tty* to see if its not ttyUSB or other ...


    also, best to setup via the plugin on the tv screen, by choosing where the device is connected

    Hallo! Ich habe seit einigen Tagen meine Vu+ Duo mit neuester BL Version am laufen. (Adalight) Leider hab ich jetzt bemerkt, dass bei zwei oder mehr aufnahmen alle bis auf die erste total verpixelt und unbrauchbar sind!
    Was kann ich tun?

    sorry, it was my error, i read a wrong number (375 instead of 285)


    Below a example of first entries in boblight.conf for adalight
    You have to change the line of prefix
    In my opinion there have to be 41 64 61 00 5E xx (xx as checksum, dont know), but 95 Leds -- 95 in hex is 5F, but all examples are minus 1 ...


    And there are the lines "rate" and "delayafteropen", which you dont have in your conf...


    I agree with googloman, check your device, maybe ttyUSB1, ttyACM1, ttyUSB0 etc etc

    I think your other lines (color, light) are ok.
