You need to restart the daemon, the nice way is to restart your box. but the fastest way is to kill boblightd.
You can set this is the GUI to shutdown the daemon if the lights go off. But there is a bug. sometimes he will not kill the daemon. (Already Fixed in new release 0.7R1 Alpha (Juli 2013))Or other way to kill your daemon is with a telnet session.
Login with telnet into your box.Then type

You get this:Code3708 root 13700 S N /usr/bin/boblightd -fThe first numbers are the pid number use this in the next command.
kill -9 3708.

also ich habe folgendes problem:
wenn ich in Boblight 0.6R17 den test mit mache funktioniert er auch ganz gut!
hatte auch schon alles am laufen aber irgendwie wollen die leds nicht mehr?!
wie gesagt der test läuft und leuchtet auch super aber wenn ich auf licht an gehe ists ganz dunkel...

Is the current version able to connect to a boblight daemon in the network as (probably) intended by the network options?
Daemon is running on a Raspberry however seems that the Dreambox is not trying to connect to the daemon.
Have also the XBMC plugin running which tries to connect asap when started
All machines are running variances of linux. (XBMC-Ubuntu, Raspberry-Raspian with GUI removed, Dreambox-OE2.0)

I will answer my own question: had a couple of the boblight control processes running in the background after restarting through the on screen interface.
After killing those and starting from telnet gave a direct connection to my raspberry daemon.

Hallo Zusammen,
Kraut hat eine neue Version seines Config Tools für Boblight released.
Jetzt kann man die Boblight.conf auch richtig konfigurieren wenn man Sedulights besitzt, der LED-Ring nicht geschlossen (wenn man einen Stzandfuss am Fernseher hat) und die Spannungsversorgung nicht am Beginn der LED Kette ist. Einstellbat ist dies über die Option "offset"
Ausserdem wurde eine Nummerierung der LEDs eingeführt, was das ganze nocht intuitiver macht.
Sieht dann in etwa so aus:

Wenn ich nun Channels left "15" eingebe, Channels top "30" und Channels right "15", dann rechnet mir das ConfigTool jedoch nur insgesamt 58 Channels aus. Es fehlen also 2.
Weiterhin verstehe ich die Funktion "Channel offset" nicht. Ich kann nichts sinnvolles damit anstellen...

Du musst die LEDs in den Ecken jeweils für jede Seite mitzählen. Also 16 für die Seiten angeben.
Mit der Funktion Channel offset kannst du einfach den Ausgangspunkt (also Channel 1) weiter nach links oder rechts verschieben, falls der Anfang deiner LED-Kette nicht genau in einer der Ecken beginnt. So sind die LEDs mit dem richtigen Offset Wert auch dann synchron mit dem TV-Bild, wenn der Anfang deiner LED-Kette z.B unten in der Mitte des TVs befestigt ist.Mein Adalight gefällt mir mittlerweile richtig gut und ich habe auch gute Werte für die Farben gefunden. Einzig allein mit dem Grün habe ich so meine Probleme...Ich kriege es einfach nicht hin, dass der Grünton mit dem TV-Bild übereinstimmt. Besonders fällt dies z.B beim Fußball gucken auf. Er kriegt dieses Grasgrün einfach nicht hin. Ist das generell ein Problem mit Grüntönen oder sind meine China-LEDs einfach zu minderwertig?

Könnte mir jemand sagen wie ich es einstellen kann das Die Leds schneller reagieren?
Es dauert bei mir immer ne zeit bis sich die LEDs an das Bild im TV anpassen. Ich würde es gerne so haben das die LEDs sofort die Farbe wechseln.

Entweder ist Dein Programm ausgelastet und musst nur das Programm neu starten oder vu duo schafft es nicht mit der Rechenleistung.
War bei mir auch mit der DM8000 , dann hab ich es auf einen Raspberry ausgelagert. -
Ich habe jetzt mal ein Video von der VU+ solo aus abspielen lassen. Und die LEDs funktionieren 100% damit. Aber sobald ich auf ein fernsehprogramm umschalte. Sieht das ganze nicht mehr so flüssig aus...
Keine ahnung warum.

I got the answer you are looking for:
As for Boblight support - we are in contact with BobLight and hope that they'll support our device soon. But we already have XBMC integration and you can check it at our product web page code.google.com/p/light-pack.
As for XBMC full screen issues - stay tuned, we plan to improve this.
