Enigma2 Plugin Webmedia.v.9.3 for OE 1.6 Images

  • Hello tispe!

I can be in the same situation.
Can you please comment how are you using the VLCplayer?

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hi chirimollo,

Thanks for the reply. The Vlcplayer plugin is used in Webmedia only for the adult site oxotube - because gstreamer cannot play the video format.

Some Webmedia sites (example youtube) stream flv videos. Perhaps the 7025 may be able to play these with the gst-plugin flv. Please search - if you see any report for this. Some other sites stream mp4.

You can of course use WebmediaVlc plugin. All sites in this plugin can be played with vlc. Ref :-

    Enigma2 Plugin WebmediaVlc.v5.0

    It has these sites :-

    YouTube
    DailyMotion
    MyVideo
    TurkWebTV
    MetaCafe
    ClipFish
    ZDFMediathek
    Bild
    MDRMediathek
    AdultVideo :
    YouPorn
    PornRabbit
    Bild Erotik
    Redtube
    Oxotube
    Xhamster

    Cheers.

  • Hello PCD.

I understand that VLC is not the problem to see all websites except oxotube. Not a problem.
Anyway you comment that the PC is needed for the WebmediaVlc.v5.0
to run, and this is another problem...

For the other websites i.e. youtube I checked in Bluebutton-addons that gst-plugin-flv is installed.

So any format can be reproduced.
    Can be a mediaplayer problem?

  • Can you use plugin MyTube on the 7025 - without vlc ?

If so - many sites in webmedia should stream ok.

  • Hello PCD

mmm I have installed MyTube plugin, restarted...
When I select the plugin from the menu-plugins curiously it makes "nothing", does not execute!
    All other plugins run OK.
I installed some time ago the YouTube plugin (no MyTube).
It searches and previsualizes OK, but when I select video to play it ask for VLC server...

It seems a problem with the mediaplayer components.
I have uninstall mediaplayer an reinstall mediaplayer and the same.

Having a DM7025 I use VLCplayer for all Webmedia's "download-channels" usually without problem (after you tested out which transcoding works the best). Realtime streaming without VLC in the backend is not possible.

    pcd:
The problem when it comes to SVT play is that the standard parameters for the MPEG AAC codec now is not working together with the sout commands send by the Dreambox's VLCplayer plugin. If I test and skip the audio transcoding in VLCplayer conf (resulting in no sound stream) the Video stream flows perfect like before on the Dreambox.

As shown in the screendumps, it is the change in the downloaded "svt.mpg" audio to "AAC extension SBR", not as before just "AAC", which makes both video and audio to stutter.
Any clue how to get the VLC player sout mpeg2 transcoding to work with this new stream? Any tip on some parameter values for the ffmpeg codec on the VLC server that could be changed?

    Hi tispe,

I tried to stream a downloaded svt video from pc to db - it did not have any sound. I am trying to find out if the streaming command can be improved.

  • Hi tispe

The best nethod I can suggest is this -

Using vlc on pc - stream the downloaded video to another video file using this sout (change file path to your choice) :-

    :sout=#transcode{mp2v,vb=2048,scale=1,acodec=mpga,ab=192,channels=2,samplerate=48000}:file{dst=C:\\Documents and Settings\\PCD\\Desktop\\abc2.mp4} :no-sout-rtp-sap :no-sout-standard-sap :ttl=1 :sout-keep

This transcoded file (abc2.mp4) streams to the dreambox using vlcplayer with correct audio.

I used vlc 1.1.9 to test this.

    Cheers, pcd.

Yeps, this file worked. Thanks. But considering sitting in the sofa... Is there a way to incorporate this extra step in a plugin or something controllable from the DM7025?
Anyway to force VLC to handle the downloaded, primary file like it has done up till recently before svt has changed something in their streams?

    Kann jemand helfen?

    Andere Webseiten in Webmedia ok?
