E2 Image and COM port

Wir haben aktuell ein Problem mit dem Board und arbeiten an der Lösung...

    no, this works with the newer boxes only via usb2serial adapter - and the 600 doesn't have an USB port :frowning_face:

    Makes the box pretty use-less in my view.


    Does anyone know how to use the modem port instead?

    Is it soft or hardware issue? I've check the physical connections from RS232 chip to com port socket in DM500s and DM600PVR. They are identical. I didn't check the connections between RS232 chip and CPU, as CPU is in BGA package.

    I have not used phoenix - but the 600pvr serial port certainly works. I have flashed images with dreamup and serial lead with Enigma2 image in flash.

    Certainly COM port in DM600PVR works during flashing. You couldn't program the unit otherwise. The question is, why it won't work with phoenix. It seems to be software problem to me. I wonder why it can't be solved.

    With Phoenix connected and Newcs running , you can see Phoenix being RESET and data flowing out. Keeps doing this in a loop


    But this data does not reach NEWCS - either the BAUD rate cannot be changed or the data is being corrupted.
