  • Extra instructions for dm7025 (and probably applies to dm800 and dm8000 - not checked) :-

Check that the image has files streamps, streampes etc in /usr/sbin. If not, copy the files from the attached 7025_Extra folder to /usr/sbin and /usr/lib as indicated(and chmod 755). The "Non-Exclusive" files will stream only FTA channels. The "Exclusive" files will stream all to pc but with no play on tv. Thanks to burgerkind and Bundy041 for these files.

    Cheers, pcd.

I suggest - please find a Vista compatible Pinnacle TRex (preferably close to version 1.7.1) and install it.

You only need the free trial version.

The program TRex is not important. Only some directshow filters that come with it are used by TuxVisionE2.

Please tell us if this works.

    Cheers, pcd.

  • I don't know. When I have time - I will try to find a vista compatible program with the filters required by tuxvision. :)

    Cheers, pcd.

  • have you try to install it in the compatibility mode (set to xp)? could be also a solution... can't try it yet!

Did you try to install TRex in the XP compatibility mode AND as Administrator ?

  • Hi pcd

I think so, but i'll try again on monday.

    regards fmx

  • to get tuxvision to run under vista...

!.) install Trex in compatibility mode and run it in compatibility mode (right click->properties->compatibility)!
2.) to register .ax-file you have to be logged in as administrator! if registering doesn't work you have to run cmd.exe in admin-mode! for that right click->properties->compatibility->run as administrator have to be selected!
then try to register the .ax-file again!
    enjoy TuxVision!:D

  • Hi LeoGR,

    Thank you.

TRex only needs to be installed. No need to run it for TuxVision to work.

Or did I not understand you correctly ?

    Cheers, pcd.
