The developer is very willing to continue it's wonderfully progy/plugin for our beloved E2 images...
so, we'll have to be patient a bit ...
my ticket goes beginning of summer

I don't know what you want. Enigma2 works fine with *.srt.
*.ass and *ssa also supported, but i have not tested yet.

its only necessary that movie and subtile are together.

Seems you don't know much about Drtic. It can show subtitles on channel in real time and works perfect with E1 boxes.

adenin, for example you are from Poland and don't understand german or english. You want watch movie on Premiere1 (or other channel...) You check in epg what movie you want to watch. Download subtitles from internet to pc to ths movie . Convert them in jdritic to .dtc format , copy by ftp to your box (for example to /tmp or /hdd...) run dritic plugin , choose your subtitles and watch your movie with your subtitles It's very useful for a lot of people who don't understand other languages. In dritic plugin for Enigma1 images we can adjust bigger subtitles , transparency, change fps/color of subtitles...
