YoutubeplayerE1a - a plugin to watch Youtube videos with dm500, dm5620 and dm7000

    With some images the plugin will ask for libcurl.so.2. Please ftp the attached libcurl.so.2 to /var/lib and chmod 755.


    Ftp the plugin .so and .cfg to /var/tuxbox/plugins and chmod 755 for the .so.


    And the .xml file to /var/tuxbox/config. Edit to insert the pc-ip.


    Tested with :-


    VLC media player version : 0.8.6a
    Windows os : XP Pro
    Dreambox image : Gemini 4.60

    If you have problems with vlc on pc - please uninstall all versions and then delete the folder 'vlc' in this location (for Windows XP/2000) :-


    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\vlc\


    and reinstall vlc 0.8.6.

    The plugin looks like excellent, but it won't work correctly on my DM500.
    Searchfunction and everythink works good, i am also connected to my VLC Server and to the Internet.


    But if I start a Stream, it shows my all the time " Buffering.. Please wait" after some times i see a little output for about an second and then again "Buffering... Please wait".


    So my question is how to solve this problem?

    It works with vlc player 0.8.6a. If you earlier installed another version of vlc please uninstall it completely (delete preferences and folder) then install 0.8.6a.


    Also I tested with the image Gemini 4.60.

    Hello all. I have tried this interesting plug-in (v3.0) today on my DM7020 with the new Gemini 4.70. I followed carefully the author's instructions, but unfortunately I couldn't make it fully work! Search in YouTube was working nice though.


    I tried with both VLC 0.8.6a and 0.9.8a. I have 3 different failures: i) enigma reboots on every try to play a video, ii) message "buffering..." and iii) message "problem on streaming. Please make sure VLC is running...". I can't understand where exactly the error is.


    For one more time, I have verified that the communication between dreambox and VLC is quite problematic, unstable and unreliable. Theoretically, we can do many useful things with VLC and Dreambox, but practically is not so simple...


    PS: Anyway, congratulations to the author for his work.

    There are too many receivers out there, but the best of all is my Dreambox!

    If that does not work - don't worry - I will make a new plugin after Christmas. :)

    Habe auch das Problem das es in Verbindung mit VLC 1.0.3 nicht geht, mit DM 7000.
    Mit VLC 0.8.6 keine Probleme.


    Hat es schon jemand geschaft das mit 1.0.3 zum laufen zu bringen? Dan bitte auch sagen wie.
