FULL USA EPG
* EPG will get multiple days of data. If you have a hdd or CF card installed you can tune to epg channel ( cnn )
and it will update multiple epg days quickly. If you don't have a hdd or CF card installed we recommend
NOT tuning to epg channel and let the dream process the epg slowly. It will take a little longer
but the multi day epg will update. If you tune to epg channel without hdd IT WILL SLOW DONW THE DREAM
until it processes all the data. Consider yourself warned.
Latest enimga web interface.
samba
CIFS
NFS
Plugin installation is manual at this point just copy plugin to /var/tuxbox/plugins
Scan has been tested on most sats here.. but give you feedback so we can make any tweaks
that may be needed.
This is not a bloated slow moving image.
It is designed to be as efficient and robust as possible.
BIG THANKS goes out to SHAKIN, Lucgas, MixVT, GHOST, and Caveman for the help!!!
To the rest of the people who didn't want to help a big FU!
Criticism will not be tolerated and compliments will be welcomed
Actually either will be taken with gratitude and possible be implemented in the image
AUTO CHANNEL RENAMING EXPLINATION.
The auto channel renaming feature in this image reads data from the dbbusters.xml file located in /var/etc and updates the channel names and providers for all the services that either a scan picked up or are on
the dream when the Rename Services menu is chosen.
When the provider is updated in the process this will create a new provider bouquet for each unique provider found. These are NOT user bouquets. If you would like to make user bouquets you can use DreamboxEdit. Note however that when you go to the bouquet menu and choose the YELLOW button you will see the provider bouquets and then from that point forward you will always see them until you change the option. In other words choose Provider the first time with the yellow button and then the bouquets will work the same way they do now with user bouquets.
If the channel naming process sees a channel that is not listed in the dbbusters.xml file it will put that channel in the ALL bouquet. This will help you in seeing what channels are not in the custom naming list so that you may add them.
By default after a scan happens the auto renaming will kick off. So there is no need to update channels right after a scan.
The debbusters.xml file that is in /var/etc is what controls the channel names and the provider bouquet names. This is the file you will want to edit to make the channel names and provider bouquet names customized to your taste. You can change the servicename or the provider for any and all of the channels in the file, and you can also add more channels that may not be there.
The key to adding channels to the file is the first three fields of each service in the file. The entries must be in this format:
The sid is the service id, the nid is the network id and the tsid is the transponder id. All of those values for a channel can be found either on lyngsat or in a valid channel list loaded into DreamboxEdit with that specific channel in the list.
NOTE: This file is an xml file. All xml formatting rules apply. Examples being if you want to name a channel A & E it has to be A & E or a name like Mike’s channel needs to be Mike's channel. Info can be found on the subject on the web.
Post you questions on THIS forum and we will try to answer them, but that should get you a good start on things.
