did you try simply to rename it to .deb

did you try simply to rename it to .deb

tar vxzf control.tar.gz -C ./CONTROL
tar vxzf data.tar.gz -C ./
cd /tmp
dpkg -b pluginname pluginname.deb

Both .ipk's from the 1st post are corrupt! They are not packed at the right way and the control file does not end with an empty line. So it would not be possible to install the plugins in OE2.0 using opkg ...
But it was done within 4 minutes to convert your (currupt) .ipk's into working .deb packages only using my dm900 - including the time to fix the corrupt control files ...
Both plugins are working my dm900 without changes in the source code. But for the ts-sateditor plugin curl is recommended.
You will find all necessary tools on your OE2.5 Dreambox or on the online update feed of your image, when it is dmm-experimental based. So no dubois Windows executables are needed.

forgot to upload the .deb files ...

I know
I allready told, that I converted the .ipk to .deb on my dm900
apt-get update
apt-get install tar binutils
mkdir /tmp/convert-ipk
upload the .ipk via FTP to your drambox to /tmp/convert-ipk, then navigate to /tmp/convert-ipk on your box
cd /tmp/convert-ipk
ar -x name.ipk
[ -e debian-binary ] && rm debian-binary
rm *.ipk
tar vxzf control.tar.gz -C ./
tar vxzf data.tar.gz -C ./
rm *.tar.gz
mkdir DEBIAN
mv ./control ./DEBIAN
mv ./pre* ./*post* ./DEBIAN
check and customize the control file (dependences, architecture etc.)
then move back to the /tmp folder and create the .deb, the name must be given in the command line. It will not be generated from the control file automaticly!
cd /tmp
dpkg -b convert-ipk/ enigma2-plugin-extensions-name_version_architecture.deb
This is only a how to, how to convert an .ipk to .deb to install it on OE2.5. But there is no certainty that the plugin works ...
If there are mipsel executables in the .ipk it will not work on the dm900! Maybe there are some changes in the python source are reqiered to work in OE2.5 ...
Hi,please convert ipk to deb
THanks
Hi,
why don't you try yourself? Fred posted a pretty good tutorial on how to do that
