Removing ipk file

  • Hallo to everyone
have dm8000, with dreambox experimental img (updated)
I installed following ipk file but actually have serious problem
and trying to remove it, but no result till now.
File is pyton-pycurl_7.19.5-r0.0, loaded via telnet.
With telnet command opkg list_installed, I should find it on list.
    Is named pyton-pycurl - 7.19.5-r0.0
    Sent command
    opkg remove pyton-pycurl
    and
    opkg remove pyton-pycurl - 7.19.5-r0.0
    but not possible to remove.
    Need your kind help

    thanks

  • Hi,
what does remote respond? There should be a message why it is not possible. I would guess that dependency is the problem.

With --force-depends or --force-remove you should be able to force removing the packet.

    ciao

  • To see if the package is installed and what is the full and correct package name try this first:

    # opkg list_installed *pycurl*

If that command results in a clear package name then use that name with "opkg remove" command to delete it.

  • Thank you friends
    Resolved finally pyton-pycurl is deleted
some other issue are left, trying to fix hopefully

    best regards
