Dm7020 Enigma2 Image Pcd 9.0

    Hi friends,


    Attached is the new version 9.0 of the Dm7020 Enigma2 Image.


    Here are some details :


    Flash Install : Please note :-


    The image can be installed in flash with Dreamup - or on multiboot with Barry Allen.


    If installed in flash it will have a free memory of 3.8mb. If Memory Expander (Extra Setup -> Increase memory) is used the free memory increases to 10.0mb.


    This image can be used without any additional storage - for example pc, hdd, usb, cf. Of course, for Timeshift and Recording - additional storage is necessary !

    Daemon-manager : To run any daemon - put a start-stop script in a script folder. Insert the script folder path in the Daemon Manager config screen. Default path - /user/script/dman.


    Addon-manager : Download and install addons


    Software : Additinal software items necessary for some plugins


    EPG : configure EPGImport


    Subtitles : Change ttx subtitles size and colour


    Media/MountManager : Cifs and Nfs mount configure,
    MountManager,


    User-Script manager


    Inadyn, Pmt.tmp, Crond configure

    Tips :-


    Teletext (tuxtxt):


    Enable/disable via Extra Setup. When teletext is enabled - long press and some other buttons do not work. Also numbers input do not work properly.


    Video playback - fast forward/backward (seek action) :


    Number buttons work with tv channel recordings. Seek action does not work with vlcplayer downloads.
    However, button 0 will put position marker in vlcplayer downloads for restarting.


    Plugin Enhancedmoviecenter :


    Requires teletext to be enabled. Otherwise it will crash.


    Plugin Enigma1 :


    Download from Pcd v6 thread


    Starts enigma1 features. Uses enigma2 installed daemons. No need to install again.


    Some special use of enigma1 -
    Plays mp3
    Fast forward/backward of vlc recorded videos.


    Languages(po) :


    Locale de and en installed. Some others are available from image server. Any
    other languages - please ask


    Available from image download (Menu->Extra Setup->Addon Manager->Download)

    Ftp the ipk to folder /tmp. Then -


    Menu -> Extra Setup -> Addon Manager -> Manual Install.


    The ipk has to be 'all' or 'powerpc'. If the package contains binary (.so for example) - it has to be for powerpc.

    Download Barry allen from another site. You will have an ipk file. Ftp this file to your box, for example in the /tmp flder. Connect to the box via telnet and type "ipkg install /tmp/<the name of the file>.ipk"


    After a short while Barry Allen is installed on the box.

    Hello to everybody,


    I'd like to know weather in DM7020 si image is possible to install a DVD Player plugin.


    In fact I've got a DVD unit installed, but I cannot use it to see any DVD video.

    I've already installed Media Center plugin, but if I try to play a .TS file from "my video" menu I obtain an enigma2 crash and if i go to "DVD Player" menu the media center plugin say that there is no DVD Player plugin installed.

    Thank you, I recognized this just 10 minutes ago and was about to cancel my question.


    So I guess there is no one here running mpd on a 7020s?

    I know, but I'd really love to have mpd or something similiar. I don't even need enigma-integration, I could operate the daemon (not mut operation needed hopefully) via command line.

    i think i'm going mad.


    I put the new enigma2 on my dm7020. This works fine.
    Of course, i need some more memory.
    So i put in an USB-stick and choose "Increase Memory".


    After this, the box will freeze (or loop) in "starting GUI".
    Even if i reboot the system. I have to flash the image, to fix the problem.


    I read some other hints in en earlier release.
    But, to be honest, i have not so much experience to check the
    hints (symbolic link of python-directory etc.).
    Can someone help me please?
    Maybe there is a short manual including the code, i have to implement.
