geminiqtpdfviewer unable to open file from file browser

  • Hi,

    I'm using a fresh installation last DMOE1.6 + GP3.
If I want to open a PDF file through the file browser gives the error unable to open the file ( in this case from tmp). But, if I start the PDF viewer and use open file it's working.

Have someone an idea how to fix this error!
In Qt config is set (use pdf viewer in file browser)

    Thanks in advance.

  • Where the file is stored? HDD, CF Card, .. ??
Some have the same problems. Others will not. But is not exactly clear why.
For me, it helped that I've put the file in the root directory.
You can also check out my error message in the following article. It is the same as in your case?

  • Hello,

The file is in the tmp directory (internal flash) and I'm getting the same error as you have in the link!
What is strange it was working before with the previous installation!

I'm now installation everything from scratch and is working no more!

  • Sometimes it's funny.
For Monent I have only 2 ideas.
Try to save the file somewhere else, or flash the OE again.
    Maybe that fixes the problem.

  • Hi,
Unfortunately even installed from scratch DM3.2.3 + GP3 without any additional plugin and the same problem.

The pdfviewer is unable to open a file from the filebrowser.

Have you ever tried a different document?
Not that the problem only occurs with this one.

  • You're right it didn't happend with all !

But the point is... with those files unable to be open from the filebrowser can be open from the pdfviewer open file; that means the files are compatible with the viewer

Where is the diference? why can't be open by clicking on show in the filebrowser?

    Regards

  • I forwarded this point (the space in the name), but don't know if they can fix it

  • Thank in advance you for your concern!

For sure the problem occurs in all files type (text, music, film, etc) with this "space in the name" that can be started from the file browser.
