Alt Shift = Alternate Timeshift Plugin für Enigma2

    Lies den Thread, und eigentlich hat sich ausser am Verhalten der Timeshift und der TV Taste durch das AltShift nichts geändert ... und das ist eben im Thread genau erklärt.


    Ihr könnt aber gerne ein readme.txt machen/schreiben.

    is there any chance that you will add some simple bar(eg: similar to one from media player or to the ones from other tuners) which shows length of time shift record , graph status of how far I "rewind" or "forward".. for sure you know what I mean..:), from my point of view this will be very useful functionality..

    No there is no real chance, because the whole time handling in tiemshift is buggy and produces unpredictable/strange results (espcially because of my brutal tweaks to start it immediately when zapping and just screw it up so that it accepts this when entering timeshoft mode)


    And especially I don't want to re-write timeshifting, I just want to proove that we could have some improvements very easily.


    So I deciced in AltShift only to use existing stuff ... differently.


    You would need to go back to DMM for fixing this mess or improve the scrolling in timeshiftmode. This is the main reason that I try to avoid the real timeshiftmode in Alt Shift and stay in Zapping mode until I really need it.


    You can use Permanent Recording Plugin which has the option to use the Videoplayer for playing which works much better, but for AltShift this is not an option because it would stop the running timeshift.


    My plugin is just a working Proof of Concept, if somebody would like to improve it further with things like AliAbdul's Seekbar .. he is welcome.


    All I want to create is progress on the timeshift side and stop the current frustrating situation by simply doing it the way I always do.

    also das Timeshift hatt sich nicht verändert das Problem ist das auf der Dreambox biss her keiner diesen modus benutzt hatt und daher keiner weiss wie die box reagiert


    wie gutemiene schon weiter oben im fred gesagt hatt mach mal das Plugin aus und probiere es dann mal so

    na ja niemand ist übertrieben, aber du hast schon recht es ist etwas unglücklich implementiert - wobei die entsprechende action map in der keymap.xml könntet Ihr schon auch selber verbiegen um das schlimmste zu verändern :)


    Einfach in der /usr/share/enigma2/keymap.xml nach InfobarTimeshift suchen, da werdet Ihr rasch 2x fündig. Und nachdem ich ja nur die normalen timeshiftStart und timeshiftStop routinen verbogen habe sollte das auch greifen.


    Wenn wer gute Anpassungen hat kann er sie ja posten.


    Dort sieht man auch das der rewind key zum timeshiftActivateEnd springt und das ist duch das permanente timeshiften halt am Anfang der Sendung (wobei mir das in dem Fall sogar gefällt als Feature um rasch zum Anfang zu kommen und mit TV kommt man halt jetzt rasch ans Ende ins LiveTV zurück), etc.


    Gerade solche sachen wo man nicht wirklich proggen muss könnt Ihr doch auch machen ...

    Does normal Timeshift mode work on the HD channels work where you experience problems, and what means 'not work' ?


    Simply disable/uninstall the Plugin and test if it works to press the timeshift button and do all the pause and winding and report back. If this work's - THEN it is the Plugin's Fault and should be fixed, if not ask DMM or your SoftCAM :)

    When I disable ALtShift timeshift work good, i means-pause, and after 2-3 min i do it buck, and forward and it's good. When i enable altshit on HD channels after 2-3min when i do pause, and i want revind i see black screen and after 10-15 sek i see channels but in real time. On SD channels plugin work good. I test on free HD channels. Gemini 4.4 and CCcam

    I now tested also with encrypted and FTA HD channels and it workes nicely (both in CVS image and GP2 4.4 bootet from LowFAT stick)


    There were some fixes in pausing and winding of HD, so make sure to use an uptodate CVS image or update these things manually in GP2.


    Because if it works for me and I cann't reproduce it I'm sorry then I cann't fix it either if it odesn't look broken.


    Can other confirm your problem or provide further infos ?


    The << button will always start to the TS beginning which is because of this plugin NOT the current LiveTV but the beginning of the Timeshift when you zapped to the channel. If you want so scroll from current position press the timeshift button again to pause first - then it is alsmost the same then without the plugin - except that rewind is possible before starting of timeshift because it as started during zapping already.


    And on HD the backward winding is not the greatest, it simply sometimes doesn#t work as it should. In teh old days SD was the same but DMM has (almost) fixed it there, at least for the slow rewinds.


    This is also why I don't use instant winding speed > 2 in expert settings of standard enigma2


    So do some experimenting - because it works on my side.

    Gratuliere zu diesem super Plugin! Ich denke das Pferd ist bereits angekommen, und die ganze iHad Community saß drinnen :)


    Habs jetzt mit der 0.4rer nochmals versucht und muss sagen die läuft bislang wirklich super. Auch die bedienung des Timeshifts ist endlich so wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. -> Einfach und leicht verständlich -> Frau konnte auf anhieb damit umgehen.


    Eine Frage bleibt mir jedoch noch offen, wenn ich mit der TV Taste das Timeshift menü - verlasse und anschließend in der wirklichen Stelle weitersehe, wird da die TS Datei gelöscht und eine neue gestartet?

    Hallo Gutemine,


    ich habe jetzt wieder das Problem mit den HD-Sendern auf meiner 8000er. Wenn ich die zurück-Taste drücke bekomme ich nur ein schwarzes Bild und nichts passiert mehr weiter. Ich habe das Plugin auf 3 verschiedenen Images getestet (Newnigma, OOzoon, und Relase DMM), alle mit neuesten Updates, habe das Plugin installiert und deinstalliert und auch verschiedene Skins ausgetestet, weil ich schon dachte es liegt daran. Wie gesagt bei SD funktioniert es wie es sollte, ohne Plugin geht auch HD rückspulen. Hast Du noch eine Idee, was ich versuchen könnte. Es geht keiner der Free-HD-Sender. Ich kann heute abend gerne einiges versuchen, habe jedoch keine Idee, was ich noch machen könnte. Gibt es vielleicht solche Fertigungstoleranzen bei den Dreamboxen, dass andere dieses Problem gar nicht haben, oder könnte es an der Festplatte liegen (WD 1TB)?. Mein Timeshift-Pfad liegt auf /media/hdd/timeshift.

    Die nötigen Tools stellt er aber fairerweise auch zur Verfügung.
    Dann werde ich das mal in einem LowFat-Image testen (und lernen) :tongue:

    wenn ich die box nicht in Standby schicke geht das Elektro Power Save nicht also Schickt die box nicht in Deep Standby

    first of all thanks for clear feedback and good job which you have done by creating AltShift plugging..
    concerning going to DMM - i am not sure if its make sense to ask DM about it, if i will achieve something since i didn’t invent anything new..:) for sure(lets say I hope) they are aware and they do something with this..- for me good TS it’s a one of base functionalities for such tuners and i was really surprise when I started use DM that Time Shift is so weak.., I expected more… but OK we will see..

    Better wait für next GP2, all updates are untested and I don't want do advice on unsupported stuff


    So wie die Fareg sagt, wenn du mit Timeshift beenden ya verlässt wird beeended und nach ein paar sec wieder ein neues Timeshift estellt wie wenn du gezapped hättest. Wenn nein (was jetzt das default ist) läuft Timeshift weiter und du siehst nur wieder das LiveTV auf desem sender aber kannst mit der Timeshift taste auch wieder in den Timeshift ansehmodus rein und auch wieder soweit zurüc wie vorher.


    Aber iegentlich habe ich das weiter oben schon in Deutsch beschrieben, bitte lest den Thread und fragt nicht das selbe immer wieder !

    Ich weis nicht, ich habe das Problem nicht, und solange es nur vereinzelt auftritt und ich es nicht reproduzierne kann habe ich wenig lust da zeit reinzustecken. Kann es sein das Ihr zu früh schon die Timeshifttaste drückt - weil wenn noch kein timeshift vom Altsshift enabelt wurde dann verhlät sich die Timeshift Taste ja wie normal. Ich benutze 2 sec im Plugin um praktisch sofort das Timeshift zu bekommen und wenn ich dann erst nach > 5 sec Timeshift drücke funktioniert es eigentlich imemr wie es sollte.


    Insofern wäre es dann ein Bedienungsfehler und hätte nichts mit Images/Treibern/Skinns zu tun.


    Wenn Ihr wollt kann ich in der nächsten Version das default Timing für Timeshiftstart auch auf 2 sec rutnerdrehen statt der 5 sec.
