Image für OE 2.2 bauen - (nicht dm7080)

  • pcd
you can only mount from the tarbal with media boot, but u need an HDD or USB Stick on your 500hd.
And as an hint, it looks like there some problems with the kernel in, for old Dreamboxes, enigma only crashs, but when ur using the old one from oe2.0 it works like a charm :)

    http://wiki.blue-panel.com/index.php/MediaBoot_Script_(en)
    ------------------------

    Keyring:

    Code
    ~# wget http://opendreambox.gunah.eu/deb/dm8000/mips32el/gunah-archive-keyring-2.2-r0.0.deb

    File: /etc/apt/sources.list.d/gunah.eu.list

    Code
    deb http://opendreambox.gunah.eu/deb/dm8000/dm8000 ./
    deb http://opendreambox.gunah.eu/deb/dm8000/all ./
    deb http://opendreambox.gunah.eu/deb/dm8000/mips32el ./

Thank you for replying. The new info from my tests is as follows :-

I attach the bootlog from systemctl status enigma2.service command.

Seems it failed to make /etc/enigma2 at :

    Source code

    Code
    Process: 168 ExecStartPre=/bin/mkdir -p /etc/enigma2 [1;31m(code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)[0m

I put in a blank folder /etc/enigma2. Then the image booted as normal - but crashed and the screen showed "not enough space". Next I removed most of the po files - the do_rootfs log ends with :-

    Code
    Partition #0: 143136 of 210371 bytes (/home/pcd/dm500hd/opendreambox/build/dm500hd/tmp-eglibc/sysroots/dm500hd/usr/share/dreambox-secondstage/secondstage.bin)
    Partition #1: 3266360 of 3843687 bytes (/home/pcd/dm500hd/opendreambox/build/dm500hd/tmp-eglibc/deploy/images/dm500hd/dreambox-image-deb-dm500hd-20141026134101.boot.jffs2)
    Partition #2: 57615120 of 62236263 bytes (/home/pcd/dm500hd/opendreambox/build/dm500hd/tmp-eglibc/deploy/images/dm500hd/dreambox-image-deb-dm500hd-20141026134101.rootfs.jffs2)
    DEBUG: Shell function do_rootfs finished
    DEBUG: Executing python function dreambox_image_nfo
    DEBUG: Python function dreambox_image_nfo finished

This time the image booted as normal -> selected HDMI -> screen display ok -> language English selected -> then repeated crash (only machine dump).
The crashlog happens at each time I select something in the wizard - then it goes to the next step. I did some debug by adding print to Wizard.py in the image (no ftp):-

    Code
    if self.showConfig:
    				print "showing config"
    				self["config"].instance.setZPosition(1)
                                	print 'self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["type"] =', self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["type"]
                                	print 'self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["screen"] =', self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["screen"]
    				if self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["type"] == "dynamic":
    						print "config type is dynamic"

On the tv (final repeated) green screen I see something like :-

    showing config
    self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["type"] =
    self.wizard[self.currStep]["config"]["screen"] = None

    Regards, pcd.

  • i think the major issue based on the systemd system,
when ur compare the .config from the oe2.0 kernel and oe2.2...
but i did not testet this.

may there some issues with the kernel 3.2 and systemd?

Can you solve this problem ?

    Hello Hein Holz,

    What did you copy from 2.0 to 2.2 ? Folder /kernel or /extra ?

I am trying to do the same with my dm500hd.

    Regards.

Thanks. Now I can boot my dm500hd .nfi image with the usual (browser) method.

    Available space is 1.3mb :-

    root@dm500hd:~# df -h

Filesystem Size Used Available Use% Mounted on

    /dev/root 59.0M 57.7M 1.3M 98% /

    devtmpfs 65.9M 0 65.9M 0% /dev

    tmpfs 66.0M 0 66.0M 0% /dev/shm

    tmpfs 66.0M 1.2M 64.8M 2% /run

    tmpfs 66.0M 0 66.0M 0% /sys/

Internet connection is ok. Connected from pc via DCC. So I can get debug log.

I still keep getting crashes during start wizard dialogs. If you are interested - I can post the crash logs and also do any changes to the image files you may suggest.

If successful - it will be possible to have normal oe 2.2 images for all the old hd boxes (including dm7020hd).

    Regards.

  • My dm500hd oe 2.2 image boots normally via browser - but has problems. In dreamboard obi says the error is in the c++ core. I hope he manages to correct the error !

    In OE2.0:
    opendreambox/tmp/work/dm7020hd-oe-linux/linux-dreambox/linux-dreambox-3.2-r12.51-bsp0

    In OE2.2:
    opendreambox/build/dm7020hd/tmp-eglibc/work/dm7020hd-oe-linux/linux-dreambox/linux-dreambox-3.2-r0

    Update
