    In addition, visitors to the Dream Multimedia stand at the show can get an actual feel for this innovative hardware. Dream spokesperson Alpaslan Karasu: „While others are still busy cloning and copying, we at Dream are already building the future, inthe shape of Goliath. Right from the start, Dream Multimedia has focussed on the convergence of television and the Internet. Theseyears of experience are now being brought into the development of Goliath. Goliath will lead the consumption of digital media into a newera.“

    Allgemeinen für das Scheitern steht: David gegen Goliath - Größenwahn ggü.
    (Bauern-)schläue ...


    ... und dabei gäbe es wirklich genügend "Hausaufgaben" zu erledigen, ich
    erinnere nur an OE2.0 / Hbbtv (1.5) oder sogar einmal eine modellgepflegte
    DM8000SE mit 5GHz WLAN, USB3.0, HDMI, 1080p und Farb-Display?

    Das ist genauso Geil wie das Finanzamt das seine Software zum Datenaustausch elster genannt hat. Das erste was mir dazu einfiel war auch "der Name passt wie die Faust aufs Auge, diebische Elster"

    Ja, das stimmt.


    Die Einblicke gewähren sie aber weniger wegen dem Namen, sondern eher wegen Vorgehensweise im Marketing von Goliath. Was man hier probiert, funktioniert aus bestimmten Gründen, insb. wegen der aktuellen Stimmung in der Community, vermutlich nicht (=>Spannungsaufbau zur Überbrückung der Zeit bis Serienreife).


    Ich drücke dennoch die Daumen. Innovation lohnt sich immer.

    also nach dem ich das oe2 installiert habe (direkt nach dem GP3 für das oe2.0 rauskam) musste ich nicht einmal neu flaschen, alle updates gingen durch, bzw. wenn sie nicht durchgingen, bootete die box immer so das ich die updates noch mal ausfuehren konnte...



    das 1mal wo das GP3 dann weg war, einfach skn gelöscht, und war jut, nach dem update am volgetag war alles wieder ok..


    und biss heute habe ich keine probleme mit dem neuen oe image. entweder binn ich ein glückspilz oder ne box wo die ganzen probleme eben nicht auftreten.....

  • Von Problemen sprach ich nicht... nur davon, dass die Kisten offensichtlich um einiges ausgebremst werden (so zumindest aus einigen Posts ersichtlich) und das ohne echten Mehrwert.


    Und nein, ein wackliges HbbTV zähle ich nicht als solchen :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

  • Technologie und Betriebssystem gibt es doch schon alles für embedded devices
    wenn man die Prozessorentwicklung im Smartphonebereich mit Grafikleistung betrachtet, 2-4 Kerne energiesparend - da werden doch schon Videostreams unterstützt
    dann ein Android aufgesetzt, das die Tuner handeln kann
    was soll da groß neu erfunden und entwickelt werden

    wird ja schon fleißig dran gearbeitet.;)

  • Hi,
    Mediaplayer mit Android gibt es doch schon dutzende. DVB-T Receiver für Android gibt auch schon. Ich glaube aber nicht das Android die Wahl sein sollte. Es ist für Touch gedacht und nicht so einfach an TV angepasst. Ich tendiere mehr zu XBMC u.a. weil ich es schon >10 Jahre benutze.
